Welcome to the Faithful Citizenship Institute.

No matter your political persuasion, the beauty and wisdom of Catholic social teaching can inspire the formation of public policy.

The Faithful Citizen Institute was born from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ seminal teaching document: Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship: A Call to Political Responsibility, with the call-to-action for us to understand our political responsibilities as Catholics.

To do this, Faithful Citizenship Institute offers public policy leaders the ability to:

Learn: Build Expertise on Catholic Social Teaching Principles through FCI educational workshops. Understand the significance of these principles and explore how they align with policy priorities, as outlined in Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship.

Gather: Gather with other Catholic Policy makers. Foster community and collaborative action with other Catholic policy makers. Authentic relationships are fundamental to prudent public policy.

Engage: Implement Catholic Social Teaching as leaders analyze and develop policies, drawing on the wisdom and insights of Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship.

FCI empowers Catholic policy leaders to learn and apply Catholic Social Teaching, while offering them the network and tools to effectively implement legislation that supports human flourishing and the common good.
